Good morrow to you, gents
« on: September 28, 2010, 19:44:51 »
Hello team SGP,

I've been a fans of your guys since the days following ODST's release, when we were all excited about discovering the true meaning of the mysterious glyphs hidden away there. I've spent a lot of time lurking around, watching your adventures, but have done very little to contribute. Now that I have a little time, though, I'd like to offer my services, such as they are, towards the exploration of Reach. I'm probably quite a bit behind in the easter egg hunt, but I'll be keeping an eye out for anything interesting. Also, if any of you would like some assistance or company during your campaign playthroughs, feel free to drop me an invite and I'd be happy to join you. I live on the east coast of the US, for those it matters to.

My gamertag is jawjabulldawg.

Good hunting, and I hope to see you all on the battlefield :)

I rember you! :D Glad to see you are still here!
Don't know if you've realised/read, but tomorrow is our 1 year anniversary [linky!]. I wonder if you'll be able to join the games? (See the latest posts)
You know, just so I could beat someone up, ok? ;)

I would be happy to; unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to reply to the signup threads. Is there some kind of block designated for "Newbies?"

I think that only moderators and our all-powerful admin can post in that thread, leven.  I can't do it either  :(

We maybe experiencing technical difficulties. Other members are having issues as well. Just add a attending member and I am sure you will receive an invite.

Dunno. Anyway, this is what CG posted:
Quote
I would like to schedule two Halo: Reach games which will be played for prizes:

"Game 1" at the following time:

GMT/UTC: Sept 29 20:00 (8 pm)
EST: Sept 29 16:00  (4 pm)
CST: Sept 29 15:00  (3 pm)
MST: Sept 29 14:00  (2 pm)
PST: Sept 29 13:00  (1 pm)

"Game 2" at the following time:

GMT/UTC: Sept 30 00:00 (midnight)
EST: Sept 29 20:00  (8 pm)
CST: Sept 29 19:00  (7pm)
MST: Sept 29 18:00  (6 pm)
PST: Sept 29 17:00  (5 pm)

I suggest that the game be played on Kenji's new level which was based on an initial design by Enigma.  Is it ready, Kenji?  I don't see it on your file share.  Whoever "runs" the game will determine how many "practice" games will be played before finally announcing the "final" game.

I will be able to attend Game 2 and plan to run it.  I will most likely not be able to attend Game 1; therefore, I need someone to "run" Game 1, save the video, and link it to us so that I can verify the prizewinner.  Anyone?

The (1) winner of Game 1 and (1) winner of Game 2 will each get their choice of either:

  • A Game Stop code for the "Beer Can Belt" exclusive armor piece in Halo: Reach (to be emailed to you)
  • An unopened copy of the Prima Official Guide for Halo 3: ODST (you will need to provide a mailing address)

If the winner of Game 1 and Game 2 manages to be the same person, they will get two prizes (2 codes, 2 guides, or 1 of each).  Winners may choose to forfeit their prize to the second place player, who may in turn forfeit to the third place player, etc.

Oh, and you will also have bragging rights for a year.
 >:(

Get your questions and comments aired out now!  It's coming soon!
So if you read this and it has not yet happened, join iin? (You can add me and join trough me, or I can invite you.)

Actually, I can make Game 1, or maybe catch the end of it.
ODST is all about switches, isn't it?
