Just a thought but when you looked at the magic wall and saw that the Superintendent symbol on the top is missing. Did you think about looking at the Superintendent glyph with the sad face, because in only has one symbol and it is on the top.
-
This is an excellent idea! Putting the two together might yield a result. I'll get set to give this a go! Thanks ML!

I am part of this forum that has been posting on this for a few days.
We are heading along most of the same lines as you. (the later posts at least)
We would greatly appreciate any input you have to offer.
Cheers :)

Thanks for the heads up and for registering, jag! Catching up on your thread now!

some of the stuff on there is a bit..... random, but we are heading in the right direction, i hope.
It would be great if you could update with anything new you find, i wall do likewise.

I just made a go at this and it blanks the Super TriGlyph. Well, something during the trip next-door to D06 blanked it. Now I have to make the SuperTri reappear. Should be easy. Working now...
-
Odd, but useful info. Saving and quitting in front of the magic wall when its blank seems to make it reappear when you reload your save.
-
Maybe its all in order starting at the stonhenge with the monoglyph, then off to the diglyph and so forth.
-
...problem with the Super DiGlyph is that we don't know how to reliably make it appear yet. I seem to have consistent results getting the Super Tri to appear by visiting the D04 Supply Cache, though.
-
I made it reappear by going to Micky's pod. its in the same district so its a little easier to get to. Also in district 6 i where the symbols are to open the secret door, if they disappear so does the writing on the wall next to it that says BELIEVE. I don't have a clue of why that would disappear.
-
do you know if you can get both to appear when you want to? (not at the same time)
-
No only the triglyph. But i did just watch the video where i was figuring that out and i realized the only way it happens is if you are fallowing your character. Other wise they will not appear on the magic wall. The same goes for if you want to make them disappear. So you can not just sit there in theater staring at the wall with the ghost cam and expect it to change in front of you. Although i would advise someone else check this out to make sure. LoL also if i were you i wouldn't use a 1 hour and 48 minute video. It gets boring to watch even with fast-forward.
-
If you post videos in your fileshare, what I would suggest doing is to get a checkpoint around the area that you want to capture, and then go to "Save and Quit". Afterwards, load up your game, capture the footage, and then end the game. You were able to get what you wanted and you were able to decrease the length of the video. If you already knew about this then please disregard this comment.

i've noticied in theater mode if you are watching the magic wall before the SI glyphs appear and your character leaves and comes back (to load the glyphs in game) the glyphs don't load in theater mode.
also i have found a mono glyph without a Y divider on teh magic wall. don't know if this has been found yet. would you like to see the relevant data?
i thought you would.

Wow, nice one tog! That truly deserves an achievement ;)!
This just makes me belive even more that the glyph loading is pretty random...Well, since we have no explanation for it, and because other stuff in MS load pretty weirdly, ie. Magic wal. I also ha see ghosts that you can't acces changin or completely dissappearring. Could the glyph anomalies be just because the loadings wickedness?

Ultratog:
Great find! It seems you took this snapshot way back on 10/10. I don't suppose you saved the film, too?
This seems like pretty convincing evidence that the different glyphs on this wall are due to a display glitch. Nevertheless, the wall is still the only one in the game which shows the SuperTri. (My current assumption is that the SuperTri was meant for display on the wall, and all other glyph versions appearing there are the result of pieces of it not displaying properly.)
In any event, congrats on your new achievement!
