I've put together an image which catalogs the sequence of 16 hex patterns that appear in the lower left-hand corner of the supervisor's display during his shutdown sequence in the Data Hive cut scene.
The area where these are displayed is a very small section of the screen, hence the poor clarity. It would take a video capture device more powerful than my meager DVD recorder to grab more detail. These are good enough to show the hex patterns, though. Number 9 stays in place the longest... for the majority of the sequence, actually.

I don't think I am going to be able to just replace part of the link and still have this image work. Do you have a backup to add to the gallery? I would like to look into these.

Anoyone?

Anoyone?
I get what he's talking about, but I have no idea where is this montage. Sorry :/

Is it possible to pause a cut scene that has the SI overlay with these hex patterns in it? I could try to copy them down by hand if I could pause, because some of those flash by pretty quickly, IIRC.
-
Yes you can. Be warned, taking a picture during this pausation will result in a garbled picture.

Taking a screenshot would be pretty useless, since 343i doesn't support ODST screenshots :'(

Image link was to an old section of the original site from 2009. I found the image in my local archives, uploaded to gallery, and fixed the OP. Sorry for that.

Thanks CG! Now to wildly theorize! :P

This wallpaper ("No Public Access") (http://halo.bungie.net/images/games/wallpapers/kcid9kdksli.jpg) contains the pattern seen at index 2 in my OP image.
It looks like the pattern of text blocks around the circular design is different.

The first line looks to be Mandarin. I wonder why there looks to be a line of dots as a break between the various languages.
