Here. (http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=60291320&postRepeater1-p=1)
Try to understand what the ODST says before reading bellow the OP.
OP:
Hi,
so I was playing in campaign, the level "The package", when an ODST started talk about another dead ODST (Savian or something like this) and his drop pod. I never heard this quote before and I'd like to know if you already know this. If not maybe it could be a clue for an easter egg; something like to find this drop pod and it could be related to the four banshee easter egg.
Here the clip with the quote: http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=17669613&player=NBK%20ToxiC%20JoKeR (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=17669613&player=NBK%20ToxiC%20JoKeR)
Oh, I'm italian, so sorry for my english, I hope you understand
What I think the ODST said (also posted on the same thread):
If you see a pod marked Sullivan, you should call me over. Reports show he didn't make the drop and I've had an eye on his sidearm.
-
Again, please copy the message here. I can't access bnet :(
-
Warning: don't read if you want to listen first.
Something like (copied from the forum so take it with a grain of salt): "If you see a pod marked Sullivan, you should call me over. Reports show he didn't make the drop and I've had an eye on his sidearm."
Is Sullivan - provided that's what he's saying - really dead though? He's on the roster of participants (http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Battle_of_Earth) in the Battle of Earth, which occurs later. Though it may not matter if he's dead if you can find his pod.
People will read anyway and then will only hear that. :) - Pulse Cloud

I understand, Sir Pickle. Thanks for the edit. ;)
Do you know where on the level the ODST is so that people without access to Pro can go and have a listen?

You don't need Bungie Pro - the video was rendered.
The link is in the OP, but here (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=17669613&player=NBK%20ToxiC%20JoKeR) it is anyway. :)

Seems to be at outpost at the very start of the mission, off to the rocks on your right where grunts and ghost are. Probably almost right next to the ghost, before any grunts get in it.
I don't think that would matter though, as long as you're near the ODST. Since the campaign isn't always the same (i.e. ODST names), it might need to be on certain... whats the word... (version/load?). And I think this would have to be on Solo because I don't think ODSTs appear on Co-op and it's also the same condition that the guy who found this did it on.
-
Whoops! I didn't think it was rendered. Sorry, Pulse, Monx.
I think forum-goers were right re: what he's saying.
-
Seems ODSTs have more dialogue easter eggs than we thought. (http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=60361769)
Star Wars quotes, Office Space, what else do they say!?!
-
I have finally seen the clip, and I agree with what has been said.
-
EDIT: Listening to it time and time again has still not shaken the slight "r" that I heard.
After pressing my ear even closer to the speaker than I did before, I can reconfirm what has been said.
The Minority concedes that the Majority's point is valid and stands down. The Assembly is in agreement.

hmm, perhaps its a book reference? Who has fall of reach?

Tartarus 14 (http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=60291320&postRepeater1-p=3) (in Bungie thread from OP) probably has it right: According to him, there's a storyline in Band of Brothers, the name of which is taken from Shakespeare's Henry V btw, where a guy is looking for a gun, and Ron Livingston (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0515296/), who voices Trooper 5, stars in BoB. And yes, check out that acronym!
Update: a little more on the BoB storyline here (http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Band_of_Brothers#Luger_P08).
