Nice job on the video. That was really informative, I didn't previously know some of the things you talked about, like there only being one Focus Rifle elite on LW. Great video!

Here's the live action trailer :)

It's a good trailer. It could be making a connection to ODST, or could be ODST making a reference to Halo 3, like it does with the other writings on the walls. Thanks for sharing, I didn't know this video existed.

ODST General Discussion / Re: How Bungie should have done it....

Do you guys remember this? I think it's something along the lines of this. You weren't supposed to sign into Xbox Live when doing that easter egg because people said it would fix your clock back. This means you'd have to play local, which goes against your theory, sep7ember. I can help by doing this with 4 people and having party leader set their timezone to EAT, or maybe even everybody. It just depends on what the game code would need to look for.

I might try doing it local on my own time. But until then, let me know when we need to do it with 4 people.

With a time, you need a timezone. I would suggest Kenya, Mombasa's timezone, EAT (East African Time). EAT is GMT+3, meaning at the time I post this, it's about 8:18PM in Mombasa. If you didn't want to do the calculations, it would make sense to set your timezone on the Xbox to EAT. ODST may also recognize this, and allow the door to be unlocked. I can try this theory any time today or tomorrow, if anyone wants to help. And nice writeup se7ember, you seem to have thought this through. Although it is a very far fetched theory, there is basis for it.
If I understand correctly, you're wanting to test and see what would happen if a person set their Xbox time to EAT and tried it? Wouldn't it have to be solo? And of course, you could always try Bungie time, PST (Pacific Standard Time).

BOBs / Re: The Official Lord Friendship's BOB Video Guide Thread

I can't view either of those games   :(

Good job on the Bob series, I know you still have to do the Lone Wolf one, but those videos are really helpful. Thanks for making them, I'll definitely post them in threads on Bungie.net and Halo.xbox.com when they're needed.

P.S. What is that at the end of the PoA video?

Thanks! I keep seeing YouTube comments like "I looked for BOB X, and he wasn't there" so I thought I should clarify how it works.  Stay tuned for Exodus! I learned some things about the BOBs on that level that I don't think anyone else knows.
I'd be lying if I said that I didn't learn anything from that last video...

Wow, really nice job. That has to be the most informative and detailed video of Bobs on this level out there. Wasn't too complicated and nice job with the random chance portrayal with the dice, pictures always help  :)

Nice. I'm glad you got to ask all that, and he answered. Thanks, Dan! (I know you're probably reading this eventually)

Maybe someday we'll get to hear a little more about Bungie's decision to include them, and what was truly intended.
A great way to find that out would be to ask the Bungie Mail Sack. It pops up on Mondays in a thread in the Community Forum and gets answered every Friday. I've been asking my own questions, but if anyone else had a question they could also ask.

The BOB likely spawns under terrain.
Which with this, I can make him large enough to be seen above ground. Then, I could also move his spawn so he does spawn above ground.

If it's possible to figure out my own coordinates, I could manage to put the Bob directly in front of me.

Well. Seems Urk doesn't want to respond. But I think I may have found a really good way to see if the Bob does spawn.

I may try and mod.

In the video, he shows that you can edit the size of enemies. I sent him a PM on B.net and he said you can change the size of anything, Bobs included. So I might mess around with it until I find the Bob and make it really huge, large enough to easily notice him even if he is invisible.

If I don't find him, either he doesn't spawn correctly or I could try something else. And it would most likely be the former.

What Latin?!?! Bungie has been using Latin before they even started thinking about this new IP. Conspire what you want, but I think it's more of a just Bungie being traditional by using Latin for their new game, rather than hint at something by using that said Latin.

Find me a some evidence that Bungie is using Latin specifically for Destiny and not just because they're Bungie, then we'll talk.

Edit: I asked the Bungie Mail Sack, and it seems there isn't a correlation between the use of latin and their new IP. See the very last question.

Not a noob at all. Does the use of latin not strike you as relating to the new IP? Sure, the motto has been around, but the new IP has been referred to a lot with Latin. Obviously this new way of motto is relating to the new IP, it even has a picture of it in the story. So now, this new use of latin hasn't be around all this time.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bungie has only referred to their new IP with one latin phrase, "Per Audacia Ad Astra". And the phrase you're talking about is a Bungie Trademark. The use of latin does not strike me as relating to the new IP, it strikes me as a classic Bungie saying. Just like the other ones heard in the morse code. I don't see how it relates to their new IP.

And what picture?

NON FACETE NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRUM PERINAEUM was first (Correct me if I'm wrong) shown in a Bungie news article back in mid 2010.
Actually, it's been around a couple of years longer. The trademark by Bungie has been around since '08 or so.
