Title: 23:03:28:30
Post by: twiztid42O on June 13, 2010, 16:08:05
I found something interesting today and im not sure if anyone else noticed this,if you look on the back of the Halo 3 ODST game case underneath prepare to drop theres a small grey rectangle with a code in it that reads 23:03:28:30 then outside of the rectangle theres a 2 and a superindindent sign, now here comes the interesting part, that same code is displayed on the Halo 3 ODST limited edition controller under the word "Kikowani.0624." ill post pics of it.Can anyone make something of this?

Oh yeah and to the left of the rectangle on the game case theres an incredibly tiny square that looks like it has a letter or number in it but i cant see what it is its too small  :-\

23.03.28.30 2   :o

Is what i see. (super included only if you have the super or kenjis smileys on)

Yep your right twiztid. Is it a release date?

Also, look under the two pictures of a tank and a rampant brute. They read:

Parking Violation (tank pic)

No trespassing (brute pic)

And above those words i cant read. Thoughts?

This topic has been moved to Task Force: 7, and this number has been added to Task Force: 7's List of Confirmed Findings (http://www.gruntspajamas.com/forum/index.php?topic=108.0).

I think we should start at the beginning. It doesn't make any sense to start anywhere else but the start of the beginning's beginning, right? (http://"http://www.gruntspajamas.com/forum/index.php?topic=370.0)

It's not for everyone, Scat.  Don't worry too much about it.  Your work on the Reach trailer (http://www.gruntspajamas.com/forum/index.php?topic=740.0) is great, so stay focused!

...and KIC!

But i certainly could do it if i took my time. I just need to concentrate. I always skip a number and mess it all up. Then it will say "dekshion" for "definition"

 ???
Could it be that the U.S. version has it but the European version does not?

I can see it on mine and I am especially perplexed by the tiny unreadable box before the strip.

From the best i can see in the tiny box it looks to be a numer or letter inside of it but its too micro-small to be sure...

Ok i figured out what 23:03:28:30 is,It is infact a time in the game recorded by the superindindent if you look in the lower left of the screen during some cutscenes that have the superindendent camera view you will see that time code though the rest of it says err on most cutscenes, take a look at the launch trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZRVWLlldCo it has the exact same code in the lower right corner but the time goes out of display at 22:03:30:04 because the rookies pod door smashes the camera any thoughts on this??

It has been previously speculated that the fourth number is the frame.  I believe it cycles from 00 to 29, which would be 30 frames per second (FPS).  The third number definitely ranges between 00-59, as you can witness it change from 16:11:59 to 16:12:00 during the cinematic.  It only seems natural that these are timestamps in the form hours, minutes, seconds, frames.

The timestamping begins at 16:11:09.

Sometime at (or shortly after) 16:11:22:17 the time resets to zero as the slipspace rupture occurs.

0:45 into the cinematic you can clearly read:
Quote
> POST SCAN CAMERA ACTIVE
> SCAN>>POP:0
> [EVAC.COMPLETE]

The footage resumes with a drop pod crashing at 16:01 - a time earlier than when the cinematic began.

The drop pod crash causes the time to reset again to zero.  Around 0:51 it appears to read "TIME ANOMALY DETECT" and then "RESYNC GMT", and the time appears again (16:11:50-ish).

At 1:22 into the cinematic, we see the text "MAINTENANCE INTERRUPT [22:02:20]" and the timestamp in the lower right corner matches.  10 seconds later (22:02:30) the drop pod hatch blasts open and the screen goes dark.  (Twiz mistyped this as "22:03:30:04"...a minute later.)

The last timestamp we see is at 22:02.  If you assume that's the rookie (despite the drop pod not being lodged into the side of a building), then what is significant about the time 1 hour after he drops?

I'd continue... but require sleep...

So what did we learn kids? That slipspace ruptures do the same to time as enigma does to purple!
