Report In! / Easter Egg in the Epilogue
« on: October 28, 2009, 17:26:37 »
wow this is huge. my buddy got home from school and told me that he heard about an easter egg in the final epilogue scene with sgt johnson. we played the last level and beat the game. after the credits when the epilogue comes up, hold Left on your Right analog stick. when the part where Vergil goes to light sgt johnson's cigar, the camera will shift to the left (because you are hold the analog stick) it will show Buck and the Monkey easter egg from Halo 3. Buck will pick something off of it and go to eat it but right before he puts it in his mouth the scene ends. lol it is pretty funny to watch.

Report In! / Picture in Rookie's Drop Pod
« on: October 28, 2009, 16:05:58 »
I have no idea on where i should post this... ok i wanted to watch the opening cutscene again of the rookie dropping from space. i find this video to be so amazing, just the amount of detail that bungie put into it was awesome. during the video when the door finally closes on your pod, you gain control of the camera and can look around as the rookie in your pod. if you look as far left as you can, there is a picture of a woman taped up on the side of your pod. Loved one? Family? or is it someone related to a Bungie employee? it is too small you really great a good idea of who it is but you can for sure at least see that it is a woman. i tried to go into the theater to take a picture but you are not allowed to take pictures or even go into theater on the level Prepare to Drop. not much of an easter egg but hey it is always worth mentioning even the small stuff.

Update: i tried showing this small easter egg to my friend and the picture was not there. i figured out to see this easter egg you have to play the Prepare to Drop level on Legendary to see it.

SGP Task Force: Marty / Re: SGP - hmmm...Audio logs?
« on: October 28, 2009, 02:14:42 »
Well i tested the audio log idea at the squidhenges and had no luck. i even played all of them and sat there for what seem to be almost an hour. (never realized how long sadie's story was until you chill in a room and do nothing but wait and listen) i will say two things though. one is that i notice that when you stay in the middle of the squidhenges, the engineers float around like they always do but if you run around they will follow you around. if you stop they will too. not sure if this means anything but i do know that sharing information never hurts. the second thing i noticed was that as soon as the final audio log was done, the background music instancely came on and it was very weird music. (almost similar to the type of music you hear on a flood level in the halo campaigns) i am only pointing this out because i have only heard very chill music in the game of odst. at first when the song came on i thought i unlocked something. i started looking around like crazy. nothing different in the squidhenges and i went to both magic walls, the Super TriGlyph was there. i then became mad at myself for not finding anything lol. but that is the way it is when trying to find easter eggs. like coldglider said when he first put the SGP together, "WE COULD BE JUST CHASING GHOSTS". Happy hunting guys.

i just had a thought thru my head. what if we have to use the audio logs to open/unlock things? you can play the audio logs and still run around and explore the streets. what if you have to be in a certain location of the city when playing a certain audio log for something to happen. for example what would happen if we play the log where the 6 Engineers save Vergil/SI at the Squidhenge in District 6 (The Squidhenge that has the Super Sad MonoGlyph). I just turned on my xbox and i am going to look into this. i welcome anyway to venture down this path as well and report what they find.

don't lose hope on this yet. in halo 3 multiplayer on the map high ground, there is music that can be heard. To hear the music, all you need to do is wait for a while in the computer room. The radio below the larger computer will eventually stop making static and morse code and will play either the Halo: Combat Evolved song Under Cover of Night, or random Halo songs (Halo 1, 2, or 3). You can tell it is about to play a song when it sounds like an FM radio just barely out of tune from a local station. Note, in Forge mode you can pick up the radio and place it in a different location, and it will still play music. This egg can be heard on flag games also if a player has guarded the base flag long enough. so with that said i would not be surprised if Marty put something in that room similar to this easter egg.

Thanks for all of the photos of the Kikowani Doors!  We discovered this on the 18th, and the original post is here:
http://subculturelifestyle.com/forum/index.php?topic=180.0

We never saw anything come from these doors... but maybe we didn't have enough people.  I don't think we ever had four people occupying the four rooms in one tower at once.

In any event, welcome to the forum!  Thanks for the post!

Sorry i guess i have not looked thru all of your forums yet. lol. i leave to the army on november 10th and i really what to at least find the siege of madrigal before i go. i have played 4 person co-op on this level and we have had 4 people in all four rooms together. we also tried having one person in there own indivdiual rooms and also having 2 people in one tower while having 2 in the opposite tower, but no luck. i still believe that there is something to these doors. although bungie uses them to spawn eneimes, why can we open them at will in co-op?

Hey guys i just finished registering, i have been following your forum for quite some time and i wanted to write a bit of what i have found while looking for the Siege of Madrigal on Kikowani Station, we have to be close at finding this song...

First off in the first area, and i believe the third area as well, there are two towers opposite of each other that have 5 doors on them. here is a picture of the towers in the first area(One tower has a logo with an "e" in it and the tower is across from it with an arrow/triangle logo on it)...

I have discovered with a group of my friends that we can open the 4 doors on the side of the towers but it requires 2 or more people to do so. To make this happen, you have one person land on the upper deck and walk over to the door you wish to enter. Instead of your door opening the door under you will open. once another person enters the room that opens the door you are in front of will open. The same thing happens on both sides of the towers and on all 4 towers. Here are pictures of the doors that i am talking about and inside of the rooms...

Now i do know 2 things for sure about the rooms...
1)These rooms are used to spawn the enemy troops such as grunts, jackals, and brutes(here is a picture showing an example that eneimes spawn in here.http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=99337608). But i do not know why we can open these doors at will with a group of people.
2)There is never anything in the rooms. They are always empty as shown in the pictures.

Ok on to the second thing that i found. In the final pathway of the level (where the glyphs can be found) there is a door about half way thru the passage that when you turn on your VISR Mode, it lights up blue as if it could be accessed or used. Now i know that there is nothing on the other side of the door because while playing the level co-op my friends landed there and checked it out. but all of this has been picking at the back of my mind all day. i really wanted to share it because maybe i am missing something to the puzzle. something that someone else has found or at least i hope...
