Forge / New maps and reintroduction...

Hey their, first off. I haven't been on this in a while AND I havent be on my xbox as often as i usually am. This is for 2 reasons. I have been addicted to WoW... Yes I know... Number 2 is that... [Pause for dramatic effect] I GOT A JOB! Im working graveyard shifts so im either sleeping or working. My play time consists of 7am-1pm the rest is work and sleep. Since NO ONE is on that early I tend to play WoW.

Now on to the meat of my topic...

This hasnt stopped me from creating new maps!!!!
I have a few and I am most excited to announce that the first map the sgp played on (Reactor) has now been remade! I'm only missing weapon spawns as of writing this. I have aptly named it 'Core'. I made the outside of Reactor smaller and the inside larger. The inside area is now only 2 floors and you dont have to worry about falling into the reactor anymore! The teams bases are also 2 floors now.

My next fovorite map is 'Proximity'. I made this map for small ffa games. I dont ever have alot of friends on at the same time so this map still allows a fun, quick game between us without having to much room to lose your opponent(s).

My third map 'Rust Station', is much more open and features long sights and a banshee. It's split down the middle  and connects at either end. One of the ends is a structure and the other is the banshee. The spawning on this map is wierd and is driving me nuts...

These maps are in testing phase to work out some kinks before I announce them as done, but if I can get 8 players together at the same time for Core and Rust Station, and maybe 4-6 for Proximity. It could be fun!

Don't worry, I have like 4 other maps I have created but these are my favorite :D

I heard that bungie had, in the works, a campaign setting (if you will) that they plan to feature numerous games in. Think elder scrolls. Everysite you have listed there says "fantasy" to me... It has been common belief that "heaven" is above us. Litteraly.

Dead orbit could refer to the fact that maybe whatever "gods" this setting has, are now dead and this new monarchy was brought about to adress the situation of their (now dead) gods. As Scat was so kind to point out, the seraphim aer an upper teir of angels. I looked 'em up on wikipedia and found that they are refered to as "The burning ones" (Their name litteraly means "burning one). It's not fire though that is the burning. It's like poison in your veins kinda burning... That makes me think of a silver tounged, power behind the throne kinda guy that has brought down this Pantheon of gods in order for these seraphim to take over the world...


Hasn't it been the running theme that bungie plans to take over the world?
Let that simmer in your brains for a bit...

It's funny, I have like a whole setting thought up now and have the urge to play some DnD... *Goes to find dungeon master's guide*

I've seen marines roll 'nades at the covenant before. I remembered that they would do it all the time in halo 3 if you had catch on... I Kinda recal it in ODST as well.

well, you know when marines throw 'nades right? Maybe its just a 'nade throwin' animation and they replaced the 'nade with a flare... Simple enough I would imagine.

its only bannable if you over do it... So if we get a group together and get all of them in one go? A ban is very possible. If we get together and then one of us gets an achievement then we play a few real games then we get another one of us another achievement the program that scans for boost wont notice.

Just rinse, wash, and repeat as many times as needed till we all got what we came for... plus it could be fun!

From my experience... There is only one radio per level that actually has dialogue. The rest may be there but no sound... I dont have the DLC but if you wanna gimmie a minute I can get together some pics and maybe add to your guide...

I hate starwars, but battlefront was just epic. I loved the huge battle field feel. Like you were just a small part in this huge thing. I love those kinda games.

ugh! really? I have nightmares about those driving mechanics! Once I played Halo: CE I can hardly drive in any game. Hell, I can hardly drive in halo! I loved the first person aspect in Half-Life though. Kinda wish they had first person when you were in shotgun though (like in CE).

dunno about that, but just because your being invaded by aliens doesnt mean that EVERYONE evacuated...

There is always going to be that hick still in his house with all his guns yelling about something. I bet the civis didnt know about glassing though... bad time to find out.

P.S. Half Life driving mechanics = Balding Kenji. Damn I hated driving stuff in that game.

Its civi's. if you have surround sound set up and all that good stuff you can here em in the background...

Im not for the hidden stuff idea, but it definately brings a bit of realism to the setting.
