Intel / Re: Halo Reach controller released
« on: August 28, 2010, 04:35:06 »
This is based on the following text from the controller (I need to double-check... as fate would have it I am not with the controller now):
J2|11|L8|14|E1|14|E2|25

Anyone else have any ideas on how to decode this stuff?  So far I'm getting Gherjszed.

I have the console pre-ordered, and I have a handly 15.1 Mpx Canon camera, so I'll have so good pictures up then.
As far as the code, it reminds me of the square we made (like the battleship game), but the 11 and 25 is throwing it off.

Intel / Re: New ViDoc! "A Spartan Will Rise"!
« on: August 17, 2010, 17:59:19 »
Thats Halsey right! I do hope she becomes the new Miranda by telling us tips and what to do. I hated not having Cortana in my head.

Off to find shotcodes!
Yeah, I'm fairly certain that's the AI talking about which spartan she's using. At first, I thought the references of fate were pertaining to Reach, but at the end, I realized she was just talking about her own virtual existance, lol.
I don't think 'she'll become the new Miranda', but the AI will definately be based off of Halsey, thus the pun 'great minds think alike'.

Intel / Re: Bungie Webcams
« on: July 06, 2010, 16:51:24 »
Haha why are there so many halo 2 secrets cams?
If you right click and look at them, they're each a different webcam address, ranging from 0-9. 3-9 are all different adresses, and are were put of for any enthusiasts who insist they might change one sometime.

When I first got into html, of course I designed my own webpage. The new exploration died, and I changed everything into a Bungie webcam hub, lol. I set it to automatically refresh every 5 seconds, and I believe it's still up here.

Intel / Re: Bungie Aerospace - Reach ARG opportunity?

Mmk, started looking into this, and I'll update this post as I go along.
First off, I'm going into the code, and the stuff we see there is a transparent overlay
In this overlay, It's pretty default, except there's one pixel that's randomly out there at coordinates 315,498 (which should be viewable even in Paint if you've got navigation on in the bottom corner)
Next, I found it's using a javascript code named google-analytics.com/ga.js, which is probably some default thing, I don't look into Javascript, so that's up there to look at (save to desktop or something, then open in Notepad so it doesn't run).
For the background, they used a clever trick so it couldn't be directly copied. They reference a CSS layout (just a webpage type for those unfamiliar) which can be found here, which reveals the background image here.
From there, I've increased levels and such, but it only looks like used parchment.

Intel / Re: I am going to ask about zombielites at bungie!
« on: December 31, 2009, 22:05:52 »
I agree with the belief that the next one should be posted by CG, and should be organized as we have FAQs. The messaging will unlikely be replied to, so I suggest CG posting a very community gathered and tested FAQ post on the forums, and hope for a reply there. It will be open to all readers (Bungie employees and ninjas too), and if nothing else, we, the community can dicretly 'bump' the thread occasionally, lol.

On side, life, note: My 360 is beyond dead now, and I am sending it in for repairs now, forking over the incredible $128, -but- I'll be able to get off this computer, lol.

You probably would've been better off waiting until after they got back from the two week holiday break...
I doubt you'll get a response, as Bungie hasn't ever helped out much on secrets before, especially after the whole hayabusa thing...

Theorizers / Re: is it possible to dumpster fly on odst
« on: December 25, 2009, 02:40:07 »
yes but as i said SPARTANS ARE TALLER THEN ODSTS ANDS ODSTS HEADS GO ABOVE THE DUMPSTER WHEN THEY JUMP
Calm down up there, we're a project oriented team. Keep your head ; )

thats because for some reason in odst ur head go INTO and above the dumpster.

is the same with halo 3
As Scatcycle and I have explained, the ODST's are shorter than the spartans in Halo 3, so you can not break the physics as you could as a spartan.

You can't dumpester fly, as we have already tried in a group of four while district bumping (as I have already said).
1) The dumpster moves around, but doesn't fly.
2) It doesn't matter how t he dumpster is oriented, we tried every 90 degree angle (including getting a guy in there, then putting the dumpster upside down)
3) We also tried getting 3 ODST's in there instead of the normal 2, but the third just ended up glitching outside of it.

Verdict: You can't dumpster fly, atleast not in the same way as Halo 3 ; )

Yep, it's not possible. My brother and I tried it out once when we were bumping with CG. We were able to get i moving round, just not off the ground.

SGP Task Force: Arkive / SGP: Post the video you want rendered ; )
« on: December 21, 2009, 02:28:23 »
I've noticed more and more that we have to search through films to get stuff, and it's not always easy to turn on the 360 and watch a video.
In an effort to ease this viewing process, I'll start trying to capture clips in campaign.

Guidelines:
Post link to your fileshare
Post timeframe (ie: 00:23:43 - 00:25:56)
Post any guidelines to capture (third-person, detach at 00:24:43, etc.)

Hopefully we could get a Youtube setup or something, as videos would take up a lot of space.

[edit] just remembered my 360 isn't reading discs, this will have to wait until later, got caught up in a capture card thread, lol [/edit]

Report In! / Re: Zombielites (was: dead elite standing)
« on: December 20, 2009, 22:03:15 »
hey i believe you just need 6 nades to do this as awhile back i was trying to do it when a hunter appeared and i threw all 6 nades(using both controllers) and they were standing up
Just a note...with 4-player co-op, this would be no problem to do with the engineers, even possibly have a designated guy to stand by to respawn others. (but try it without 'em too, as it's always possible you may need all four players there to unlock stuff)

Yeah, cool outcome with those 'nades. The likelyhood of finding something on accident is somehow a lot better than trying to find stuff, lol.
Good find guys.
