Ahah so glad to read from you!

When I started my kind of regular "let's get monomaniac on ODST again" earlier this year, I was thinking about doing a small video about it for Halo Creation to 'celebrate' ODST coming to MCC PC, but as I was playing on ODST, Luke and Elijah -with whom I already worked on another video- got curious about it. And they became like like really super enthusiastic about that so they offered me to do the video with them!

I really tried my best to provide as much info, and the editing part was also quite a dilemma because I really wanted to show as much as I could, but there has been just so many things and theories, we had to cut out a few  :'( Still, I'm just happy Luke and Elijah thought it was interesting and that many people are now willing to jump in!

At this point I'm not expecting spectacular reveal, but I genuinely have fond memories of the SGP and the "black ops" things, and I still love to wander in ODST notably thanks to that, so I'm happy to see more people are willing to experience the same 'special' thing we felt about this game.

Wish you the best!

Hey there!

I started to get back into this when they announced ODST (and including firefight) would come to MCC PC, notably because it could help us using softwares like Assembly to look into the code and find some missing pieces to the unsolved puzzles you guys worked so hard on.
But before that, I've been thinking of two things:
1. I needed a clearer view of the facts, and many images here are now dead links and all,
2. I'd like to show at least a glimpse of all the work that has already been done here,
3. I'd like to try to lead some people to get into this quest, even 10 years later!

So, I've been working on a few things:
1. I remade a higher-res version of the New Mombasa streets map that we can actually zoom in and all to navigate (it's about 3k*3k px)
2. I used this map to pinpoint every glyphs location and every dead elite bodies
3. With the help of some fellow friends from Halo Creation, we took screenshots of _all_ the complex glyphs we could find (160, excluding the 106 "simple Ys").
4. I sorted all the glyphs and stuff
5. I'm writing a document to sum up many observations, linking to many investigations over here.
6. I'm working on a video with some cool content creators to talk about all that.

Here's an imgur Gallery (which is hidden for now, please don't share it just yet that is still all WIP) with the higher res map, the glyphs and dead elites locations, and the full list of the "complex glyphs": https://imgur.com/a/BJoo7TB

Hope it'll bring a smile to some of you, and I'd be really happy to talk again with some of you about all this and what you're up to in a near future!

P.S.: If you're using Discord, add me (Tepec Fett#9999)!

This is due to the fact that the first part of the mission takes place in the District 10, so when you go litteraly on the highway, this part of the map stays blue in the VISR mode ... But it's not loaded, i checked it.

(If you want to check it by yourself, you can try to do the complete out of map we explain here (in French, but with many pics) .)

And in fact, if you go at the beginning of the mission in pan-cam mode, you'll see that the only way you can cross is the tiny way you cross during the mission ; there are invisible ceilings that are very near the ground all around the blue barriers ... So impossible to go out of map in the first part of the mission.

But i still don't know if you can load the District 10 during "Mombasa Streets" mission.

When the ONI building is loaded, we see that there's in the middle of the textures a big "black" thing we cannot go in ... But if the player who is in this zone, before the other makes the loading sequence happen, go with his map where the black cube is supposed to be we could go in, and see what could be hidden (maybe nothing but death) !

I've tested my theory about going into this "black cube" ; i first went to its speculated position before making the area load, and then make it load and ... We're not in, but above it ... So, i don't know if it's possible to explore what's in this cube.

Very intersting, it could make us totally mad, but :

if a=1, or 27, or (...) 6978, we have

55=C
6992=N
3840=L

Any idea ?
Does anyone tried something by changing date on the Xbox to October 26th 2015 ..?

Good luck !

SGP Task Force: Black Ops / Re: District 01...

In fact, we actually have the proof that it's impossible : friend of mine who has a devkit look very deep in ODST datas and saw that there were effectively 10 districts in New Mombasa Streets (0 to 9), but 3 of them were just unaccessible through "New Mombasa Streets" mission.

So why are they still here, and why didn't they just "deleted" them ?

Maybe there is a way to find, but we're quite sure that they aren't "unlockable" during the game without some specific material, like Devkit or other.

But, we can say that, during Coastal Highway mission, district 01 is special : in fact, the invisible ceiling is very close to the ground, and the accessible streets are downer than the others in this district ; i don't know if you use that expression, but this is quite like a "basin" , and that's why we can't go on the blue barriers.

Well done !

I couldn't let the camera on the dead body falling, so i don't know how you've done it, but that's good !
;D would you tell me ? :P )

Thank you for this odst glitcher ;
Now, it could be interesting during "Data Hive" mission to try to go in the elevator cage and see if it rise to Coastal Highway !

I took those pics during Coastal Highway mission, not Data Hive ; but you're right, we should look during Data Hive if this is opposite ; if the elevator rise and allow us to see the first room of Coastal Highway mission !

The two glitches you told me are already presented on Halocreation.

I'll try later to do a translation of those tutorials, which explain how to get out of :

1) Tayari Plaza
2) Uplift Reserve, during loading sequency 2 or the last part of the mission ;
3) Kizingo Boulevard (two methods are explained) ;
4) Police H.Q. in theatre mode ;
5) ONI Alpha Site in theatre mode ;
6) Mombasa Streets.

I'm sure you can understand part of them just with the pics !

I show this part of Tayari Plaza Dark areas in my video Investigation about Dark Areas and Black Districts, and there's something interesting : a random loading sequency that "unload" an area we could previously go in ... Weird !

Good stuff guys, keep going and we'll find something !

Hi !

Today, i've discovered something i never saw here or on youtube, so don't blame me if you know that :

When you start the mission "Coastal Highway" , you are in an uplift and you're coming from the Data Hive ; if you're two players, let one of you kill the other one in the elevator, and you will see something fun : the body will fall, passing In the ground of the elevator ! Now, go in theatre mode, and look : there's something very deep !
An invisible roof forbid us to go there, so i tried to see clearer with pan cam ; camera seemed to don't let me going deeper, so i've been forced to do some epileptic movements, but with my "bo(?)tier d'acquisition video" (sorry i don't know how you call it : the object we buy in order to extract video from the game to our computer) i could take an interesting picture :

It wasn't clear for my eyes, but look those pictures :

I haven't find the way to go in this room, which is the last one we're going in during "Data Hive" mission, but i have to (i'm note sure it's possible, but i'll search, that is sure !)

Moreover : i noticed with pan cam that the invisible ceiling on the beginning of this mission is incredibly "less high" than in others missions which take place into Mombasa streets, and that's why we haven't already found the way to go into those dark areas ... Weird !

"Secret Room ! Secret Room ! I wanna go in the Secret Room !"

There's a way to get totally out of Coastal Highway in-game, not just in theater ;
That's here, you should be able to understand with the pics on the following tutorial, and maybe with google translation :P

Thank you for your encouragements !

ODST glitcher : i'm sorry, but we've done about 47 glitch tutorials just on ODST (and about 5 or 6 others will be posted soon), and about 160 on Halo 3, so it could be very, very, very long to translate all this stuff, adding the fact that i write English with a very limited vocabulary  :-[

But if you want to look on a specific glitch on our forum and try to understand it with the pictures, just know that :
Go into the section "Tricks, Easter Eggs, Astuces et Observations" which means "Glitches, Easter Eggs and Observations" ; then go onto ODST section, and "Campagne" means "Campaign" and "Baptême du Feu" means "Firefight" .

When you're there, you could find what you're looking for by knowing this :
Every glitch is catalogued by its kind, with a tag before its name : [EE] for Easter Egg, [TRICK] for Glitch, [OBSERVATION] for ... observation !

"Hors limite" = Out of map (and we make a difference between "out of map" and "in a restricted zone of the map, that is usually non accessible" ; for the second kind of glitch, we use the terms "hors carte" )
"zone cartographi(?)e noire" = dark area
"Sur les toits" = on the roofs

I talked about Secret Glyph Project with the others administrators of this forum, and they're quite interested by your stuff here !
If you need some specific glitch like this one in order to make your own investigations go on, Halocreation could take it like a challenge and search to resolve it.

Have a nice day,

Tepec
