Intel / Moa Jewel
« on: August 03, 2011, 17:38:09 »
Needless to say I hate Moa's but luckily there was a challenge that fueled my fire of hate and so the hunt began. On my 5th confirmed Moa kill on WC I stumbled upon a unique Moa that had a mysterious jewel attached to it.

The clip shows the jewel and how it glimmers and shines. It is very interesting.

I have only noticed it on this Moa, maybe keeping it alive and following it around might do something...

Work-In-Progress (Halo: Reach) / 343 avatars
« on: July 21, 2011, 17:22:24 »
I know everyone has their own thing going on but if you are looking for a change of pace or you simply want to unwind, then by all means join in this fun.

343 is currently in beta and we (People that go to the site) are going to see some changes, one being more Avatars (o)_(9) and I loom me some avatars!!!

I think most of the updating and significant changes will be do just before the Halo: CE release and they are going to want CE/ H4 related avatars. If you are interested, when the time comes I am going to approach BS Angel with the SGP package of Avatars when she gives me the word and ask if she could give SGP/ thagruntspajamas.com credit instead of the individuals that contribute (Even if it is just me).

Halo: CE is as you know coming in November so I think by September/ October these should be ready.

Yes: this has been seen before...But that doesn't mean finding it yourself wasn't cool! :)

Figures....
Thankfully I do have an addition (Its the SGP in me). There is a Trooper in the clip (RAJ) I forgot his full name. He is in the room where the 2 covenant portable shields and I believe where a white armored Elite is, this is just before reaching the area where you see the Human frigate blow up. If you watch the clip you will see RAJ tag in the distance and as I head up the ramp towards him you see his tag drop through the floor and he falls about 10 stories below (If you watch the clip you even hear him scream). At the moment I can not explain WHY he falls through the floor and it was before I got into the pelican (So its not my doing).

I would venture a guess that the area where RAJ was had been deloaded but why would the floor deload? Perhaps this can be done with others?

RAJ had dropped far enough that he should be in space...maybe we can explore space on foot..

Back to the Pelican room. Did you notice the Seraphs hanging in here? With the pelican glitch I wonder, could we pilots one or use its weapons? I don't see why not unless the programming is purely Aesthetics and not operational.

TL:DR- RAJ fell into the abyss, screamed as he fall and lived. The Seraphs in the docking bay may also be usable since the Pelican is..

I am sure some one will steal my thunder on this and claim that they found this 100 years ago or they knew about it and thought it was dumb...but oh well, I was excited so I am posting it!

http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=20893561&player=EnigmaBiz

its not rendered.

The clip is 3+ minutes long.
LNOS - any difficulty works
Starts at the control room after entering the coordinates for fuel docking, at which point the covenant storm the bridge. ( I started the clip from here because I killed an Elite with a box and got a vehicle kill) Anyways Once you return the the Pelican you CAN get inside it and use the gun mounted to the front of it....that's all.

Halo Reach General Discussion / Re: GRD/ BOB helmet discussion
« on: July 15, 2011, 22:13:18 »
What if I said I saw the fish bowl helmet or the earth helmet during the pod cast?
Then I would look to see if anyone said differently. I haven't seen anyone disagree with the people who saw the GRD helmet in the Webcam. If a considerable amount disagree about what was seen, then there is a chance that the GRD helmet was never seen in the Webcam.
Still, a lack of solid proof means there is a possibility of scam.
Also, Evil Otto - a Bungie Employee - seems to have sent people asking about the helmet this message:

Quote
Today I came in to work to find there were nearly a hundred messages, mostly about the BOB or GRB helmet rumor. I am not going to type 100 messages today, so I am going to type once and paste it in all the questions. Here is my definitive answer:

Certain Affinity, under the direction of 343 industries, created the Defiant map pack. When Microsoft released screenshots of the Defiant pack, people noticed a previously un-seen helmet on one of the Spartans.

We at Bungie do not know what 343 has in store with this helmet, and the internet is full of theories. Like you, we will just have to wait and see what, if any, plans they have for it.

The rumor that the helmet was seen on Bungie day in the live stream is entirely rumor. Nobody saw it. Those that claim they have are simply trolling.

I myself did not, since I didn't ask, but this user did, and so did he.

So yeah, it might be true. Maybe the Internet is telling the truth after all. Then again, this all might be doings of some cunning mind like Enigma (no offense, but you know the threads I speak of(:))). All you need is a small group of people - or even just a handful of users - with the same plan: to troll.

So yeah, everyone is free to believe what they want to. I myself believe the evidence, or the lack of it.

None taken. I did the ghost of squid henge and supplied picture proof (In game) with the plinths in place. I had everyone believing it was real.

If I said, did you see that huge meteor last night? You might say oh yea it was awesome! and then you ask someone and that person asks another...so on and so on...Now everyone is saying they saw it but in truth it never existed.  People just don't want to be left out and will not dispute it as truth.

The helmet is real, we have all seen it but Bungie did not have it and it was never seen on the POD cast. Fact.

...What IF we tried this on New Alexandria!? with Buck? Maybe we can totally glitch out the game by making buck come with us instead of running into that room and disappearing. Perhaps we can do the pelican Easter egg or take him to the club? ya know to dance and stuff.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to see it, does it make a sound?
But the thing is, people were there to see it. I guess you could be referring to proof. No proof, no helmet.
If a [GRD Helmet] is seen in [the Webcam] and no one there [captures] it, does it exist?

It's the same argument. I believe people saw it in the webcams, but there is no proof.

What if I said I saw the fish bowl helmet or the earth helmet during the pod cast?

Someone thought they saw it or trolled everyone....

BTW: I still have seen no proof what-so-ever about this "GRD Helmet". It might just be a rumor...Or not. (Expectations are dangerous people)
All we have is pictures, and the Webcam's supposive capture of Tender Loin's armory with the Helmet in it.

Which no one has a picture of......

It can be done with as little as 2 people, but there's little time to get to the Falcon, and the person hitting the 1st switch might not get to be shrunk.

But we have so much time you can just kill yourself and respawn at the Falcon..

Insane_Monx and I are PRO's at this now. Attached is a easy to follow map and instructions incoming!

1.) clear the area up to the AA guns.
2.) Check point
3.) Player 1 goes to the Banshee spawn.
4.) Player 2 goes to Banshee Switch
5.) Player 3 goes to Switch that reveals the Banshee switch
Note: this player should be shot 4 times to insure a 1 grenade suicide.
6.) Player 4 takes out the AA guns (Monx has this down to a science)
Note: player 4 must die after destroying the last AA gun and quickly.
7.) Player 4 dies
8.) Player 3 hits switch and dies
9.) Player 2 hits switch and dies
10.) Player 4 should be spawning on Player 1 now.
11.) Player 1 should have taken off in a banshee and heading to the green box located on the map.
12.) There should be enough time for everyone else to follow.
13.) Land the banshees near the Green box (invisible floor should be underneath you). You will see a location marker heading to you from the last AA gun. It will be coming to you. Make sure to line up in its path so that when it fly's by you, you are able to jump in the gunner/passenger seat.
Note: DO NOT GET IN THE DRIVER SEAT!
14.) If done correctly the falcon will shrink with everyone in it. From what we tested your hit box also shrinks.

I am unsure if the mission can be completed after doing this.

This glitch allows you to take the falcon of Noble Team in mission The Package.
But If you miss the time to abord the falcon... You can get the MINI FALCON!

Now if you want know how to do the complete glitch:
For this glitch are required at last 2 players but with more than two players Emile and Jun aren't in the falcon. Is possible do it in all difficulties
Step 1 Clear the area keep alive the ODST
Step 2 Move the crate (Banshee EE)
Step 3 Take the Scorpion with the ODST on
Step 4 Kill ALL Covenant in the zone
Step 5 Destroy the Tyrant Turret BRAVO
Step 6 Kill the Covenant in the other turret ( if necessary )
Step 7 Player 1 go in the place where was moved the crate in step 2
Step 8 Player 2 leave the Scorpion in front of the turret ensuring that ODST shot the turret
Step 9 Player 2 go in the place where turn on the first switch for the Banshee Easter Eggs
Step 10 Wait for the ODST break the turret. Player 2 activate the switch and then commits suicide
Step 11 Player 1 activate the switch and run in the house with banshees (the player 2 spawn here)
Step 12 Take the banshee and fly using boost at Sword Base
Step 13 Land in sword Base and create a barricade with the banshee ( not necessary )
Step 14 Aborde the Falcon and get off Carter from the cockpit ( Note: if you miss the right time to abordar the falcon you'll get this - Step 17 )
Step 15 Now you can pilot the falcon and have Emile, Jun and Carter with you!
Step 16 You can continue normally the mission and get 2 Emile, 2 Carter and 2 Jun. ( Note: The Spartan clones are fatal and after they die, they can rise with a gun )
Step 17 If you miss the time to abord the falcon... You can get the MINI FALCON!

WE MUST DO THIS!!

There's something we should try that may be the ultimate glitch of all time in the history of Halo: the Armor Locked moving player that we can do in Forge, but in Campaign.
Why: infinite health.
How:
    1. Start "The Package" ("ONI Sword Base" might also work)
    2. Play until we get to the entrance of the courtyard of the Sword Base (aka, where we get the Target Locator on "ONI Sword Base")
    3. Figure out where, by backtracking, the courtyard area is deloaded
    4. Acquire Armor Lock in the courtyard entrance (implying it is there)
    5. Go close to the deloading area.
    6. One player ARMOR LOCK and the other runs to the deloading area, possibly causing the same effect that deleting all Armor Locks in Forge causes
    7. Partey!!!

So the armor locked player would teleport to the other player while still being in AL?

Well, I think for sure this needs to be done with four players (as stated earlier).
(2 player)
The wraith was destroyed every time, it took nearly the whole 10 seconds to reach the Wraith and it blew up when you died.

I was thinking about the Phantom again, unlike all the other phantoms in the game the turret doors on the side are closed. I wonder if the Spartan laser could take this thing out.....

4 players:
1 sniper (breach door and take out gunner)
1 Plasma pistol (disable wraith when near)
1 runner (wraith driver)
1 guard (covers the team)

I wonder if we can use the AL trick to shot a player past the barrier...

Maybe I haven't played Lone Wolf in awhile but aren't the Wraiths there from the start?

I literally only spent 2 minutes playing on Easy and I didn't see any wraiths...

Also what is up with that 1 phantom? It is there when you start, fly's over to the opposite side of where it was and then turns around to observe the combat...
