Easter Egg > Septagon

While out-of-mapping on "Pillar of Autumn" I noticed the Seventh Column Septagon was pained on the side of the in-game Pillar of Autumn.  I've added this to our easter egg list, and my little "mini article" is here:

On Captain Keyes CE outfit it had a badge on this badge it had a marathon symbol on it.

On his Halo Reach outfit he had the same badge but on it has a seventh Column symbol.

A frog once said if you read this you'll die but how would he know you'll die. He's a frog and frogs can't talk. Who would listen to this frog. So to read this he just wasted your life for a few minutes meaning you are closer to dying anyway so the frog was telling the truth but frogs can't talk?

Not to digress too much, but a bnet commentor noted that the Marathon logo is now completely missing from Halo.  You can't even use it as an emblem.

His theory was that Bungie is trying to distinguish between their IPs better, to prevent confusion.

Which means.........

Yes, there isn't even a marathon logo on the easy campaign shield.

It means that they don't want people associating Halo with their Marathon logo too much any more, which could mean that they're currently working on another Marathon-Universe game and they want it to be independant from the Halo franchise.
Either that, or 343 wants to be able to completely take the reigns without being associated/confused with Bungie later on.
