Don't forget that Halo 2 GBP was more like a plasma grenade going off instead of the confetti we now know and love.  I'm guessing that HCEA will feature something similar to this.  Also, in Halo 2 GBP affected ALL headshots, not just grunt headshots.  Not sure if they'll go this route or not.

I thought about this, but then again: there is already the Grunt Funeral for superpowerful plasma explosions.
