SGP Task Force: 7 / Numbers during ODST's credits.
« on: March 19, 2012, 16:05:03 »
This sequence of number groups appears in the lower right hand corner of the screen during the credits. To the left is some of the "hex patterns" standard to SI overlays. These numbers appear lined up to the right side, so that unevenness of the lines of numbers is apparent on the left side. This sequence appears to continually loop in the same order during the entirety of the credits.

I will probably do some further analysis later, but don't let that stop you from discussing.

I don't think I am going to be able to just replace part of the link and still have this image work. Do you have a backup to add to the gallery? I would like to look into these.

I fixed these links, but they still don't seem to be working  >:(

Cleaned up the bad links.

My posting in the Ubiquitous Number thread got me thinking: we have three J banners, and three sections to the UN. Might that be used as some sort of 'key' to the J Banners? I need to do some number crunching later, but if anyone wants to jump on this, be my guest.

And for a second time, I revive this thread, mostly to point out that the images seem to be broken. To me, it doesnt make much sense for any of the three sections of te Ubiquitous Number to be the height of the player/camera except for 55. Unless I have a misconception in the size of the coordinates intervals, those other numbers would require being stupidly far out of the map. The only thing I can think of being able to see that high up would be to see the large Y shape created by the highways, as shown by Imppa (I think). Because Scat found the number used previous to ODST, it might be possible that Bungie isn't telling us about something new, but warning us that we forgot something previously. What if there was something awesome in Halo 3? The incessant appearances of the number is a pretty apparent plea for attention, but a plea for what?

EDIT: If yore not buying that Halo 3 stuff, let me point out that the first section is 55, and there are five plinths. Could be something.

Theorizers / Re: It's a game. And I know exactly how to play it.
« on: November 20, 2011, 03:28:52 »
Sorry for being vauge, I meant more of a 'parts of the glyph'... Time for another cinfusing description, Nightcrafter style! I will be refering to Scat's image for directions and such. First you would have the engineer go down, then back up the red path, making the vertical part of the glyph. Second, have it go up, then down the blue path, making the right arm.. Thirdly, up then down the green path making the left arm. Then possibly have it chill in the yellow area, like the sad mono glyph.

And Night, an Engineer cannot travel from inbetween Blue and Red to green. Actually, it might be able to. I may not have tested that.

Well, this is the theorizers board, after all.

Another crazy thought: there are four options, and four dots per column on the J banners.

It may just be the way you drew the lines, but it seems possible to force the engineers to make the shape of a Y glyph. Possibly do that, then stand on the shortest column?

I guess I'm a little late on this, but this is probably the most excited I have been all year, and that is quite a bit, considering minecraft's release earlier today. Great work Pulse. Has the email been sent?

BOBs / Re: Enyclopedia BOBtannica
« on: November 15, 2011, 01:43:44 »
I agree with Pulse. A slight change in LF's terminology will rectify the problem, though: ther would be 49 unique BOB spawns in Reach.

And because I haven't said so already, awesome job on the video guides, and great work with the BOBs, LF!

Skulls / Re: Skull 04: "Revolver" (???)
« on: October 21, 2011, 03:14:03 »
At first glance, the symbol seems to be for famine, but isn't there already a skull with famine's traditional symbol?

EDIT: Yes, there is. [SPECULATION] Taking the symbol literally, I'd predict that this skull restricts the clips of weapons to be only one shot. [/SPECULATION]

That was the largest size that image shack would let me upload. I'll try to attach it to a post later.
