You can create your own challenges. You must be signed into your Live account.

At first I was very happy because I figured BOB would be in the enemy list, so we could test BOBs whenever we wanted to.
They aren't in the list. I think. If you can find it under some other weird name, it would be amazing.

They do have Covenant Pilot though. This could be somewhat useful.

The first question is not something we can test. We would have to ask. But is it worth asking? It wouldn't really help us in any way.

Think about it. If someone driving a Revenant drives it off a cliff at full speed, gets out, and then the Revenant hits you, your death wasn't caused by a revenant. It's one of those odd ones like collision damage or guardians or ect. A vehicle does not have AI traits. It doesn't think. It just is. It is used, by ones with AI.

What I'm trying to say is that since Halo 1, Vehicles have been commandeered by Elites, or whatever drives them. There have been no vehicles with AI. That's just how they started out, and it's how they finished. Even grunts pilot Phantoms. Marines with Pelicans.

What Bungie realized in Reach, is that they were pushing the xbox 360 to its limits, so they needed to scrap some things so the xbox didn't have to render so much on one screen. A simple solution? Shrink and turn the elites driving the Banshees invisible.

Oddly enough, looking at an Anonymous Pilot while it's on the ground will seriously drop the framerate.

Might wanna include the Anonymous Pilot thread with that question. He may have developed NA, but the Reach banshees were made long before in levels like WC. I doubt he coded them. He may not understand what we mean.

I don't remember that. Source?

It was actually Apollo. Anyway, the source is me. The book Staten gave me has many underlines and circling in it.

I'm so slow!

My bad, I didn't clarify. I meant that there are only two types of Bobs, one you can kill from Falcons (Bobshees), and ones you kill without shooting from a Falcon.
You can kill bobshees without falcons. There are two on the Exodus level that you have to kill your hands.

I know what you meant, but I like the idea of beating a Banshee BOB to death.  I might try this.  Plasma overcharge, melee, repeat.  A lot.
Me and CG "tamed" the 07-B-2 Bobshee. Exodus, level seven. The one in the beachhead. After many unsuccessful plasma overcharged attempts, we finally hit it, causing it to get stuck in some geometry. We sat around on it, we had truly tamed the beast. Unfortunately, you cannot Jack air vehicles in this level, so we couldn't jack it. If I can remember correctly, we may have beat it to death. Maybe CG will remember. But yes, you should give it a shot, it is possible.

I agree with Pulse, let's not ask about stuff like how many of X, ect. That's for us to find out.

So this means there is actually a secret with the glyphs? This is awesome! We should probably get to this.

He disregarded Zombielites, signifying that they were unimportant, so I'm guessing they were just a bug.

The only connection I have with Staten is that he gave me a book. I know his parents. I don't really think I can just go up to his parents and say: "Hey, could you ask your son what Plinths do?"
...
The more that I look at that, it does actually seem probable. Staten's parents (or his dad at least) is fairly interested in Joseph's work. It is also very likely that he was the one who wrote in Joseph's book, as Pulse showed how he circled and underlined some conspicuous things. He himself might be interested on the topic of "Plinths" too. If I told him to ask he may want to know more about these plinths. Joseph's dad is also a (Philosopher)? That enjoys discussing about things that have no true answer. That's why he likes the Halo Universe. Behind the "aliens are attacking us, fight back!" layout, there's a lot more that there seems. Mainly religious aspects. Assuming that these glyphs are part of a religious aspect.

@Pulse: I think CG means the milestone of all this new info.

You won't be able to just "jack" this banshee. You will need to slow it down first. How? I'd suggest blocking it's flight path with a falcon, causing it to get stuck in the grooves of the falcon. This method has been discussed and attempted before, but in our attempts, we could never get low enough to block the bobshee in time.

If you jack a banshee but fail to kill the anonymous pilot, you should get the kill when he falls to his death.

I'm with CG on this one. The only thing I would like to stress is that there isn't necessarily a BOB on exodus or NA. You get the GTC challenge by killing an "Anonymous Banshee Pilot". We have challenges that say: "Kill the Golden Elite Ranger in the banshee on ect." A Golden Elite Ranger is classified as an Elite Light Vehicle. So why don't you get that kill when you destroy a bobshee and complete the challenge? I do not know.

We have two perfectly even sources saying different things. Which are we gonna follow?

Remember to use glow tags for spoilers.
I want to find everything in Halo: Anniversary by myself - the thing I most regret is being young and YouTubing the location of the H3 skulls so DON'T spoil the fun.
Agreed.

But IWHBYD skull? I seriously doubt that anyone would have found it if it weren't for hacking.

There's a random Phantom that spawns in the Spire's lifts, then, without dropping anything off, goes through the EMP barrier and exits the map.

I have no idea why they would put this here.

We should try it, but I doubt they would spawn in the same place. The Xbox 360 most likely uses a timer to imitate random. The timer is always changing. When called upon for a random variable, it will go a large number of integers into the timer. Like 17.47869327595001858205828348597039406604. This decimal will be so far into the number that  it's impossible for a human to manipulate the number in any way.

But if you could consecutively jam the A button perfectly so that there's no dead time in between presses, and the map loads the exact same amount of time as it did before (which I highly doubt it would), you could, in theory, have a BOB spawn in the same place every time.

I doubt that it would just not spawn. Just doesn't seem like Bungie would do that. My bet's on the fact that there is a fourth mini-spawn of the 5-1-1 BOB. We just can't find it. Possibly it's out of map, but it obviously isn't clear. I say we work extra hard looking in that area when no BOB spawns.

I'm pretty sure the Restart Mission does work as we thought. It will not alter a BOB spawn on solo if you restart the mission, but, as proved by LNoS, if can alter a mini-spawn.

In that last Spire segment, check on cliffs, out of map, everywhere. There really isn't any reason why it shouldn't be there.
